Refund policy:
  • Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the workshop date are eligible for a refund (less a $10 cancellation fee).
  • Cancellations made 14 to 29 days prior to the workshop date are eligible for a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made 7 to 13 days prior to the workshop date are eligible for a 25% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the workshop date are not eligible for a refund.

  • Computer with Lightroom version 7 or later installed
  • Computer with Photoshop version 19 or later installed
  • Paper and pencil for notes
  • (OPTIONAL) Starry Landscape Stacker installed (Mac-only)
  • (OPTIONAL) Sequator or Deep Sky Stacker installed (Windows-only)
  • (OPTIONAL) TK Actions V6 panel installed
About the Class
This class will show you the various methods for editing Milky Way images in Lightroom and Photoshop. It will be task based with hands on exercises.
In Lightroom, we will cover the Develop module (Basic, Detail, HSL, Lens Corrections, and Camera Calibration panels)
In Photoshop, we will cover non-destructive editing, selections, curves, levels, masking, luminosity masks, and the Orton effect.
Demonstrations will be provided on stacking techniques and TK Actions V6 panel.
Prerequisites
  • Working knowledge of Lightroom (Develop Module)
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop (layers, brush tool, blending modes, selections, filters, adjustment layers)
  • Lightroom version 7 or later installed on your computer
  • Photoshop version 19 or later installed on your computer

Personalized Experience

In order to provide each student tailored and individual attention, the class will be limited to 15 participants. A waiting list will be available.

About Me

I am a passionate photographer with an extensive knowledge of landscape photography. I have lived in the Northwest my entire life. My passion for photography goes back to the early 1980's. I am the Coordinator for the Portland/Vancouver Photography Meetup Group and has led several outings and workshops throughout the Northwest. I am also an instructor in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. I have leading Milky Way workshops since 2012.
