About the Workshop
The wonder and amazement of the Milky Way. Billions of stars stretching over the entire night sky. Throw in majestic Mt. Hood and Lost Lake to take your photography to the next level and amaze your friends and family.
Certain equipment is required for this workshop. See "What to Bring".
The date for this workshop was specifically chosen during a time when the Milky Way will be positioned directly over Mt. Hood. This only happens during a few days each year from this location.
Due to the remote nature of this workshop, participants should bring water, food and safety supplies (see 'What to Bring').
Photography instruction and assistance will be provided in the field and tailored to individual needs with an emphasis on the many challenges faced when shooting at night.
This workshop requires many things to come together. Cloud free skies, enough snow melt to allow us to gain access to the lake and a forecast calling for good weather into the next day. If any of these conditions aren't met prior to the workshop date, the workshop will be cancelled and participants will receive a full refund.
NOTE: If all required conditions are favorable based on forecasts leading up to the workshop and then we experience unforeseen conditions during the workshop, participants will be given credit towards a future workshop.
Physical Requirements
Physical requirements for this workshop is rated as EASY. There is a short hike to where we'll shoot from that requires a bit of scrambling through some trees and brush.
