About the Workshop
This workshop will focus on photographing the sunset, blue hour, and Milky Way from three separate locations.
We'll photograph the sunset from the middle of Oregon's largest lava flow (don't worry - we'll be shooting next to our cars). I've picked two very special spots to shoot the Milky Way. July is the only month for the Milky Way in a prime position from these venues. Don't miss out on this rare and unique opportunity.
Certain equipment is required for this workshop. See "What to Bring".
This workshop requires mostly clear skies (some clouds can add interest).

COVID-19 Statement

Due to the uncertantly with COVID-19, this workshop will adhere to strict social distancing guidelines. Each workshop will be limited to 4 participants and everyone will be spaced at least 6 feet apart at all times. The location of this workshop was carefully chosen where no other people will be present. If face coverings are still required in Oregon, everyone will be required to wear one while in the field during the workshop. If face coverings are no longer required, wearing them will required during this workshop if anyone in the group requests it.
Why choose DTL workshops over others?
  • Value: Similar workshops charge $500 or more.
  • Experience: I have been leading Milky Way workshops since 2012.
  • My refund policies that are far less restrictive than others.
  • This workshop is limited to only 4 participants meaning you WILL receive personalized attention.
  • I provide post workshop Zoom demonstrations on how to edit Milky Way images in Lightroom and Photoshop.
  • See "Included with your tuition" and compare to other workshops.
