Refund policy

  • Cancellations must be made in writing.
  • 30 days or more prior to the workshop:
    Refund less your $25 deposit.
  • 7 to 30 days prior to the workshop:
    75% refund.
  • Less than 7 days prior to the workshop:
    50% refund.
  • If the workshop is cancelled due to weather, sky or other unforseen conditions (i.e., wildfires), you will receive a 95% refund or credit towards a future workshop.

About the Workshop
In this workshop will be filled with amazing mountain views. We will start late afternoon and continue through golden hour, sunset, blue hour, and end with star filled nightscapes.
Certain equipment is required for this workshop. See "What to Bring".

Itinerary (subject to change)

4:30 pm: Meet and Greet (Sisters, Oregon)
4:30 - 11:00: Workshop

What to Bring

  • Camera with manual controls
  • Wide angle to medium telephoto lenses with a maximum aperture of f/2.8 or faster
  • Graduated neutral density filter
  • Sturdy tripod
  • Extra fully charged camera battery
  • Headlamp (preferable) or flashlight with red light option
  • Remote shutter release (self timer will also work)
  • Hiking boots or shoes
  • Cold weather clothing
  • Camp chair
  • Food and water
  • Full tank of gas (we will not be stopping for gas during the workshop)

About Me

I am a passionate photographer with a focus on landscape and astro photography and have been leading Milky Way workshops since 2012. Have lived in the Northwest my whole life and my love for photography goes back to the early 1980's. I am the Coordinator for the Portland/Vancouver Photography Meetup Group and have been teaching Photoshop, Lightroom and landscape workshops since 2007.
